Netxol CRM vs Salesforce for ISPs: horizontal power vs. ISP fit
Salesforce is a vast horizontal CRM. For an FTTH ISP the interesting question is whether it knows what an OLT is — and how much stitching you will do to make it.
Salesforce runs some of the largest customer-facing organisations on the planet and is, on almost every axis, a more powerful CRM than any ISP-specific product. But raw horizontal power is not the axis an FTTH operator should optimise for.
Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud provides a superb sales-pipeline + case management surface, a huge integration ecosystem (AppExchange), and enterprise-grade admin controls. For an FTTH ISP, adopting it means either accepting that the CRM does not talk to the OLT — or paying a systems integrator to build the bridge.
The material differences
| Metric | Before | After | Δ |
|---|---|---|---|
| ISP primitives (OLT/ONT/CPE/subscriber/plan) | Salesforce · custom objects + declarative flows | Netxol CRM · first-class | — |
| GIS-aware address serviceability | Salesforce · via ISV | Netxol · shipping | — |
| Real-time network state on Customer 360 | Salesforce · via NMS integration | Netxol · shared graph with NMM | — |
| Suspend / restore integration with the network | Salesforce · custom apex | Netxol · Billing → NMM built-in | — |
| Licence model | Salesforce · per user, escalates | Netxol · per Core appliance tier | — |
| Data residency (Pakistan / MEA / Asia) | Salesforce · limited regions | Netxol · on-premise by design | — |
| White-label subscriber portal | Salesforce · Experience Cloud add-on | Netxol · Subscriber App included | — |
When Salesforce is still the right choice
For very large multi-vertical operators where sales and marketing sit alongside consumer ISP care, Salesforce's scale + ecosystem may justify the integration cost. For most FTTH operators between 5,000 and 500,000 subscribers, the total cost of ownership on Salesforce (licences + integrator + operating overhead) makes Netxol CRM the more sensible route.
The integrator-cost problem
The Salesforce ISV ecosystem includes ISP-adjacent tools, but the integration between them, the OLT, the ACS and RADIUS is the operator problem. Every operator we have talked to who runs Salesforce alongside an FTTH network has a systems integrator on retainer. That is a real ongoing cost. Netxol CRM avoids it because CRM, NMM, Billing and ERP live on the same graph — see the [Netxol CRM module](/products/modules/crm).

Migration from Salesforce
Netxol supports a supervised export from Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud objects — Accounts, Contacts, Cases, Products — with field mapping to the platform schema. Interaction history is preserved. Cut-over typically at a month boundary.
