Core X20 rack cooling — 42U vs 47U cabinet, front-to-back airflow

Planning our second X20 install and this time we've got a choice of cabinet. Existing 42U was tight on airflow with the first one running at 480W typical. Would jumping to 47U make a meaningful difference or is the real fix a blanking-panel + cold-aisle discipline? Facilities is quoting both.

Blanking panels + cold-aisle discipline gets you further than an extra 5U will. That said, if you have to buy either way, the 47U extra room is genuinely nicer for cable management and future expansion.
