Root-cause Analysis

Automated root-cause analysis across the GPON tree

Five-second backtrace from any alert to a calibrated conclusion.

NetXol RCA fuses telemetry, topology, history and configuration changes into a hypothesis graph, ranks the candidates by Bayesian probability, and either acts (when confidence and blast radius allow) or escalates to the right role with the full evidence trail attached.

  • Multi-modal evidence fusion (optical, OLT, neighbours, auth, history)
  • Calibrated confidence — 92% confident means actually 92% correct
  • Topology-aware suppression of correlated alarms
  • Acts when safe; escalates when not
  • Cuts MTTR by 40–60% and avoidable truck rolls by 30–50%

Capacity Planning

AI capacity planning — see saturation 60–90 days out

Procurement decisions you can make before the customer feels the squeeze.

NetXol's capacity planner forecasts saturation per uplink, PON port and backbone segment, accounting for both historical growth and planned activations from the CRM. Outputs are dated procurement triggers, not just charts.

  • Seasonal-decomposition forecasts on 1-min counters
  • Cohort-aware (CRM planned activations affect the curve)
  • Dated saturation alerts at 80%, 90%, 95% thresholds
  • Procurement-friendly weekly digest to engineering + finance
  • Forecast accuracy ±9% with CRM signal vs ±35% without

Frequently asked

Common questions about NetXol solutions

The questions we get asked most often when ISPs are evaluating an ACS, NMS, AAA, billing or AI platform — answered honestly.

What is an ACS, and does NetXol provide one?+

An ACS (Auto Configuration Server) is the server that manages CPE devices remotely via the TR-069 (CWMP) protocol — and more recently, TR-369 (USP). NetXol ships a production-grade ACS that supports both protocols over one TR-181 data model, with zero-touch first-inform configuration, idempotent RPC pushes, staged firmware rollouts and policy-gated AI controller access.

Do you support multi-vendor OLT environments like Huawei + ZTE + CDATA?+

Yes. NetXol is vendor-agnostic by design. We have native adapters for Huawei (MA5800, MA5683T), ZTE (C300, C320), CDATA, V-SOL, BDCOM, HSGQ, FiberHome and Nokia ISAM — plus routers and switches from MikroTik, Cisco and Juniper. Generic SNMP v1/v2c/v3 covers any other device.

Can NetXol replace our existing RADIUS server and billing system?+

NetXol CRM (Coming 2026) provides RADIUS / AAA and subscriber billing on the same data plane as the rest of the platform. PPPoE and IPoE session management, CoA / DM support, plan-aware policy, accounting that feeds billing — designed for ISP scale and ISP workflows. You can migrate from FreeRADIUS or commercial AAA without a data freeze.

How long does it take to deploy NetXol?+

For a typical FTTH operator running existing OLT estate, a guided deployment runs about 10–14 weeks end-to-end. Quick-win modules (NMM monitoring, ACS) often go live in the first 4–6 weeks, with deeper migrations (CRM / ERP / billing) following. We run a 90-day playbook that we describe in detail on the blog.

Is NetXol available as on-premises software, or only SaaS?+

Both. NetXol runs as fully managed SaaS or as fully on-premises in your own data centre — including air-gapped deployments for regulated environments. Same features, your choice of control. Most customers start SaaS for speed, then move to hybrid or on-premises as scale grows.

How does NetXol's AI differ from "AI features" added to traditional NMS?+

A chatbot answers a human's question. NetXol AI owns a closed loop — observation → reasoning → action → verification — and closes it without a human. The AI is gated by policy, audited, and explainable. It can take real configuration actions against live devices, not just suggest them, within blast-radius limits.

Can NetXol manage our GPON network without us ripping out our existing OLTs?+

Yes. NetXol works with your installed OLT estate as-is. We onboard your existing OLTs through native vendor adapters, validate the topology against ground truth, and start delivering value the same week. No forklift upgrade required.

What protocols does NetXol speak?+

SNMP v1/v2c/v3, SSH/CLI for vendor-specific operations, TR-069 (CWMP) and TR-369 (USP) for CPE management, NetFlow v5/v9, sFlow, IPFIX for flow analytics, LLDP / CDP for topology, RADIUS for AAA, and standard TM Forum Open APIs for upstream integration.

How does NetXol pricing work?+

NetXol uses a savings-share model — no per-seat tax, no inflated licences. We take a small share of the operational savings we create, so our incentives are aligned with yours. Contact us for a tailored quote against your scale and stack.
